Federal Skilled Workers

Federal Skilled Worker Program-

Federal Skilled Workers are selected under the Express Entry immigration system for permanent residence who meet the necessary criteria for education, work experience, age, and language ability.

The minimum requirements for the program are as follows:

  • You must work for a total of 1,560 hours in order to have work experience that qualifies as skilled.
  • You must get a minimum score of 7 in each of the four abilities (Canadian Language Benchmark - CLB). Each module requires you to get minimum 6 bands.
  • An educational credential from an approved organization or a Canadian secondary credential with an educational credential assessment.
  • In the last ten years, experience must have been gained in one of the eligible occupations defined under skill type 0, or skill level A or B of the National Occupational Classification.
